Construction Update May 10th, 2016

There have been some bumps in the road since the last update.  We are hopeful that the June 7th move-in date will still be possible, but we are still working on solutions.  The concrete slab in the older portion of the building (the barn or east end) had several hollow sounding areas when they were grinding/prepping the floors for moisture mitigation.  Several core samples were taken and the majority of the floor is structurally sound, but a trench with some rotting wood was discovered in part of the floor.  In addition to the trench (which is a minor issue), large portions of the slap appear to contain significant amounts of oil and will either need to be removed or prepped in a different fashion.  The problem will hopefully be solved within the next few days.  Some brighter news, most of the casework in treatment is done at this time and looks great.  The exterior siding and the windows for the entry were being installed today and should be done in the next day or two with painting to follow shortly after.  Lighting has been installed in many places in the back.  Here are the weekly pictures.
