Dr. Wisniewski’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Washington where she still maintains a scholarship in the computer science department in memory of her late husband John. She graduated from Cornell University with her DVM degree in 1978 and was in mixed animal practice in Illinois then New Mexico before she moved back to the Pacific NW and became involved in small animal emergency medicine. She opened the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin in partnership with Dr. Williams in 1995 and is now the sole owner of the practice. Her son Jon has worked at the clinic since he was 13 and is now a full time staff veterinarian. JoAnne is active in Oregon Swimming and officiates at swim meets throughout the year. Her two Irish Wolfhounds Molly and Lupin double as blood donors and love going to work with her.
Dr. JoAnne Wisniewski Founded EVCOT with Dr. Pamela Williams in 1995. JoAnne passed away December 29, 2018 after a long fight with abdominal and breast cancer. Her memory is honored every day in practice and her son, Jonathan, has taken over ownership since her passing. He will continue to operate the family business as a private practice and provide emergency services to pets that are in need.
